About This Station

The station is powered by a Rainwise Mk-III weather station feeding a Rainwise CC-3000 data logger. Both the data collection and key variable update to the web site is carried out every 30 seconds with other paramaters being updated every 5 minutes or daily. This site and its data is collected using Weather-Display Software. The station is comprised of an anemometer, a rain gauge and a thermo-hydro sensor situated in optimal positions for highest accuracy possible.

Whiteparish is an attractive small to medium-sized village centred on the A27, in South-Eastern part of Wiltshire in the UK Whiteparish is surrounded by farming country and woodland; and near to the border with Hampshire. Population is believed to be about 1500 (1418 at the 2001 census).

Whiteparish has a church (Church of England); a village shop/Post Office; a primary school; a medical practice; a village hall, many village clubs, societies, and organisations; sports clubs; and a large recreation ground with a childrens playground and facilities for tennis, football and cricket. Last, but definitely not least, there are three pubs.
